50HR SSYTT - REAL WORLD TEACHING TECHNIQUES
This course is an Advanced Studies 50hr course that covers 8 practice modules that will help progressively build your skills for real world teaching.
Our monthly community gatherings are a great way to meet and share, but our Post Graduate Courses ensure you are ready and prepared to teach in public classes and studios.
This course 5 days long, 10hrs a day and will build your teaching techniques and continue to explore & your develop your skills, creativity & voice as a teacher.

1) WHO AM I? - Finding your voice as a teacher
2) THE LANGUAGE OF A TEACHER - Cuing, dialogue & cultivating the language as a teacher
3) ‘A’ IS FOR ALIGNMENT - Learning how to read the body, not the posture. Anatomy in action
4) BE PREPARED - Class Planning, theming and creative sequencing
5) HOW TO TEACH & TOUCH - Learning to multitasking & teach to different experience levels in the room
6) THE BUSINESS OF YOGA - Understand how the industry works, what you're worth & how much to charge
7) PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH, PREACH WHAT YOU TEACH - Defining your purpose, and sharing it with the world
8) LEARN TO MEDITATE - Understand how to get started with Meditation. Learn to teach present moment awareness & focus intention techniques, and how to establish the state of being

50hr ADVANCED ASSISTING TRAINING, "NINJA SCHOOL".
This is an Advanced Studies 50hr Post Graduate Course that covers the education and approach needed for competent and confident hands on assisting. For many new teachers, putting your hands on a students body is a scary and unnatural thing. And that's ok. It means you care. Learning how to Assist the room, while teaching & touching is a task that takes time, focus and experience. So we have a whole course dedicated to just this. This course focuses entirely on how to build your knowledge & know-how for hands-on support in class. The aim of the course is to share the concepts behind the power of the touch, the SSY Assisting Methodology and the details behind the techniques needed for manual adjustments.

1) SSY assisting methodology
2) Codes of conduct, respect and assisting disciplines
3) Setting up the room; before, during & after class
4) Postural analysis & learning to read the body reading

6) Direct & compound assisting techniques
7) The art of teaching & touching at the same time
8) Supporting and assisting different levels of students; advanced, beginners and/or working with injuries
*** This is a practical course with all 50hrs as hands-on experience

Course Donations - are non-refundable, however donations can be transferred to another student pending mutual agreement from Sunday School Yoga.
In the event a student becomes unable to complete the course once the training has commenced, no refund is entitled and monies cannot be transferred to another course date.
